EDDIE GEORGE, the Heisman Trophy winning running back from Ohio State University, who was drafted by the Tennessee Titans (then Houston Oilers) in the first round of the 1996 NFL draft. In his nine seasons in the NFL, Mr. George was the Rookie of the Year in 1996 and made four consecutive pro-bowl appearances from 1997-2000. Setting nearly every Tennessee franchise record, his NFL career totals include 10,441 rushing yards, 268 receptions, 2,227 receiving yards, and 78 touchdowns (68 rushing and 10 receiving). He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011 and in his post-football career, he earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and starred as the lawyer Billy Flynn, in the hit Broadway musical, “Chicago”. Today, Eddie is a successful businessman, philanthropist and professional speaker.
Eddie’s experience on and off the field, as well as his special ability of motivating his fellow teammates and cast-members to achieve peak performance makes him the ideal speaker to help close out our conference on Thursday afternoon.
